Hello people who are better at computer stuff than me, good to see you!
I am running a prediction league for the forthcoming football season and need to build an excel spreadsheet to keep track of results and scores. The basic premise is that the 9 of us that are in the game predict the weeks results scoring 3 points for a perfect scoreline and 1 point for predicting the correct result (home win / draw / away win). Most points in the season wins the prize (£couple of hundred).
So is there a way that I could have the games running down the one side, and then have the people playing accross the top with their score predictions filling in as you go down the page - but have a master column that I put the actual result in whereby anyone who predicts the correct scorline the cell highlights in some way, but also if they predict the correct result then it highlights in a different way?
I'm sure it is probably a simple thing to do and the experts will probably think that I am asking questions on a par to how to tie a shoelace, but I haven't done any excel stuff since I was a kid!
Cheers, appreciate it loads!

As I was really bored in work, thought I'd spend 10 minutes on this.

Should be straight forward enough to figure out, enter all the games in section on left, then the scores for each player and the formulas will do the rest.
You could take this further and have your own league table updated automatically but I'll leave that for you, or for when I get bored again!0 -

Hey,
I've got a really good excel sheet, which I can email over to you if you like?
It works by putting the actual scores in, the predictions and then automatically updates the league table between you all.
Let me know if you still need something
Thanks!0 -
