Credit Card Worries

Hi all
I recently purchased some trees from a fairly well known gardening supplies catalogue. They shipped the goods and then started contacting me saying that my payment hadn't gone through and please contact them to offer an alternative payment. With one thing and another this got overlooked and they then wrote again with a "screen dump" of their payment screen showing me the payment hadn't gone through and to please pay again, they charged a small fee for this and eventually I gave them a second payment method. When my bank statement came through I noticed that Payment had been taken from the original card albeit later than when we originally purchased online. This made me a litte wary and I started to check things out, it was then that I discovered that the "screen dump" had my FULL card number and my security number on it for all to see. This was sent out in the regular mail, not signed for or recorded, this cannot be right and am I right to think that they shouldn't be storing this information anyway? I am yet to establish if they also processed my alternative card but what do other memebrs think I should do next?
Thanks
Matt
