JSA and eye test/dental checkups

Hope I'm on right board.

I've been receiving JSA since being made redundant back in March.

Am I right in assuming that I can get free eye tests and dental checkups - which are all due in next 4-5 weeks.

Should do, not 100% sure about the eyetest but I got a dental check up 2 months ago on JSA, but the dentists will ask you for proof so you need to phone up the jobseekers for a letter to say you are on jobseekers, with a recent date

In order to qualify for free treatment you need to be on income based JSA. If you are on conts based JSA and have no other income you will need to complete a HC1 form to claim on the basis of being on a low income.

Thanks for all above replies. Have also been advised to take letter re: granting of JSA with me to the dentist. Will report back

Had my FREE dental checkup this morning

Took my letter granting JSA, and all the information they needed was a name and address check to confirm that I am who I am.

Now for my eyes ...................
