A group of ten allotment holders are renewing a lease with the Council and they they have been asked to obtain £2,000,000 public liability insurance. One quote has been received and is about £300 pa. Can this type of insurance been obtained cheaper?
Any advice please

Well, not really my area of expertise but I reckon the only way to know would be to get other quotes
Sorry could not help more0 -
I would suggest you contact one of the Allotment Associations such as this one http://www.nsalg.org.uk/ who may have an agreement with an Insurer / broker for this type of cover.
Alternatively try a local broker, I would guess this could be bought through a local broker through someone like Inghams for circa £180, however I would suggest you try the first option first as they are more likely to have cheaper prices if they have an affiliation0 -

Thanks for the above, it looks like Associations who are members of the above NSALG can obtain allotment insurance for £50+vat.

Thats much cheaper than you will find elsewhere as normal channels will have minimum premiums.
I would bite their hand off if I were you.
Glad we could help you0
