    Not sure if GMail will help me, i am trying to have an email box without the need of being on the ISP network or using the ISP's software (like AOL). Will GMail allow me to send and recivied email from a POP client ?

    don't think so, correct me if I'm wrong but don't think you can use a web based e-mail service as a POP client, maybe try posting on the techie forum.
