How close in do you need - I have parked at Hatton Cross (near Heathrow) on the Picadilly line, prob 30 odd mins to the West End. I don't remember the price, but I seem to remember that it was reasonable - at least compared to central London!

I concur, As you approach Hatton cross, down the A30, keep driving towards Terminal 4. Keep driving past the exit, under the bridge, and on the otherside of the bridge is a free layby, there are no timelimits, no restrictions. As long as you park within the bay, it's fine.

I parked there day after day, both day and night for 8-9 hour stretches for nearly 2 years to get to work at T4. It's within 10 mins walk from Hatton cross too. Alternatively you can walk to T4 for 5 mins then take the underground express to Hatton cross, but this may be chargeable. Make sure you check for signs, and additional restrictions if you do decide to park there just in case. Once bitten twice shy! :D

What sort of question is that?
Surely you are capable of doing something yourself?
    Here's a clue... Google.

I've also heard Osterley has a car park which is only £1 on Saturdays. Any idea how big the car park is and whether it gets full at the weekend?

Come on, you don't need to talk to other MSEs like that... He had a point - you are allowed to do a little work yourself.

No. Theres too many people on this board who just want to sit there and look for threads so they can criticise.

I cant understand why someone wastes they're time commenting. Surely they've got better things to do. If you're not interested in helping or contirbuting then fair enough - JUST IGNORE IT.

Its as if I'm forcing people to read the thread....

I assume you are planning to go into London for the day but just want to stop outside and do the busy bit by train and save on parking fees? I do the same thing if I use the car for work instead of the bike, but switch to a bus a couple of miles out.

There is a residential estate near Northolt station(Central line) which doesn't have a CPZ.
