I would recommend anywhere between 15 - 30 days before you graduate would be good timing.0

When you opened your student account the bank will have asked you to fill in your expected graduation date, as such any decent bank will automatically migrate your account to a graduate or reg current account. My bank (Royal Bank of Scotland) gave me a grace period of nearly a year to carry on ejoying the benefits of the student account before switching me.
Also, from a money saving point of view the bank that gave you a good deal on a student account isn't necessarily the best bank for your future accounts so consider opening an account elsewhere and closing the student account. After all they've had your business for the last 3 years or more so you owe them nothing! (they've been investing your money for their benefit and using your status as a customer to secure loans for other business so they've benefitted from you already).0 -
As a matter of interest who provides the best graduate accounts?
As you can actually migrate your student account to a graduate account at another bank, if you want a bigger overdraft etc.
But since i am still an undergrad i havent looked at who provides the best post grad accounts

I believe there is an article about the best graduate account on the main site, have a look on the left under banking.
HSBC have already changed my account to a graduate, despite me telling them I haven't graduated O.o0
