He also has his student loan and another loan plus he pays £200 a month to get to work(doesnt use his car except for the weekends)0

You need him to do an SOA to show where his money is going and a very serious chat about money. He shoud be paying at least £60 per week plus a half contribution for food, council tax and his share of the food bills. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Yes I certainly will do thanks, by the time we move that other loan should be paid(my loan) so its just his debt and my car.0 -

I agree, this need to be a joint effort. In the meantime maybe you can redo your SOA and deduct the mobile if he is paying this and add your loan in so you ahve proper totals to see overall figuresTOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -
Before you buy a house together you need to have a serious chat about your finances. It is awful that he is happy to live off your generosity when he earns so much more than you and that he will only pay a true half share when you get a house together, despite the fact that he is happy to accept YOUR equity as a deposit for the house. With the surplus he has he should have a decent deposit saved already, or be able to help you out more!0

He is not a student. Even If I was a student, I would only get 25% off not the full 100%0 -
I thought you said he gets a student loan? Plus i get 100% off my council tax. I just have to send my NUS card to the local authority. That is the case in leamington spa, maybe it is different where you are from?0
