New cistern

We were wondering is it possible just to change the cistern on a toilet rather than the whole toilet. We are haveing a new shower in the en-suite and having the walls half tiled. We have new flooring so really don't want to have to replace it. The toilet is fine but we would like a dual flush cistern. Also this loo has a rather weak flush and the handle is a bit flimsy. Thanks

Yes, but you may find it hard finding ones that match.
I got a plastic one from Screwfix ages ago to fix my mothers but in the end we ended up getting a new pan and cistern.
I really must stick that on flea bay :)
