They make you sick. I was just watching GMTV and along the bottom of the screen came the profits of HSBC and that they were making big bonus payouts. I said to my hubby I had better take my blood pressure pill cause it gave me a sudden rise.....

They certainly do. I wonder whether we could e mail man who wrote above letting them know of any specific cases e.g. dialysis or anybody else who may be intrested. His e mail is

You could try but its about whether dialysis would want her details in the paper. I have read through the above and it highlights people losing their homes in it now. Its like yesterdays news on the FOS. I thought it would be a bigger piece than that TBH. It was only a tiny little bit and it did not represent the average persons wait at the FOS either being from Jan submitted and paid out already???? I would think if it was Jan 2008 and paid out then that would be a fairer view. I often wonder if they really give a poop at all. It made it look all so simple really and in reality its not and we have to fight each day.

Dialysis's problem was actually about the FSCS and also the fact that Picture took so long to be declared in default really. There should be more help from the authorities here in making these business's pay out sooner. Often when they do pay out half the money has gone already paying back much more expensive debts that were needless had the consumer had the money sooner. Also there is the stress involved in them so much more involved than a few quid compensation. They should have to pay damages cause that is what they cause. Damage to families.

It annoys me about these fines that are imposed. It would be better if the fine money was actually divided between the consumers. Now that would be better lol. After all the consumers are the ones that are most affected by these things.

No I thought it may have been bigger. Have e mailed above obviously not with specifics but just saying there were lots of stories on this site about people suffering financial hardship because of the insurers wriggling out of paying or delaying payment.

Good for you. Perhaps if we keep on then something may come of it.

I really hope so cause the authorities think its all "OK" if we are paid back with a little bit of compo for "distress". Its not "OK" though. Take my own (and I can only comment on my own cause I KNOW the consquences of my own but there are so many in the same boat), I could have paid FP off much sooner if we never had this massive PPI on the loan as each time we wanted to remortgage we were always short by a few grand and FP upped the interest rates each time we requested settlement figures. If we had paid them off sooner we would have been able to afford not to get into so much debt as at the time our mortgage rate was so much lower than the 13.9% APR (which rose considerably throughout) and we would have had a better chance. I saw us in a bottomless pit in the end and we still suffer now. They may redress people but its never enough to just have back the PPI and interest etc. Its the damage that is often beyond repair that needs to be addressed. Where does the fine money go to that the FSA make??? Where has the 37 million gone to that was imposed on A and L. Does it cost that much for the FSA to make an enquiry on them? Why don't the consumers benefit from it somehow or are they going to say "we have better regulation now". This is so much bigger than just getting people their PPI back. I know its a start but we were done out of so much more. If the FSA started making them pay "damages" too of some sort and making these fines BIGGER and sooner then we would feel they WERE taking us serious. Its not enough sometimes I think. The FSA needs to widen their jursidictions and also if a firm is "found" to have let a case go to FOS when there was a "definate" case of misselling (where they really could not get out of it) then they should ask the firm to make a damages award too (and not £200 compensation for distress). I think if this was the case then all firms would look at cases individual and pay out without the need for FOS's involvement. It cost us and lots more like us much more than £200 cause of our FP loan.

Yes I did but thinking now, I don't think any of them really want to know so may not bother. I don't think anyone really wants to know. Will wait until tomorrow or wednesday and then its either put up and shut up and get on with LIFE or get a solicitor (which !!!!es me off cause we should be helped anyway without the need and goes against what i have been fighting for).

PS everyone, so for waffling on. I shoudn't I know.:o
