Vodafone Customer Service Man :-)

Note I said 'man' in the title. Not customer services generally I might add.

New sim free fone as Xmas pressie, wanted to use old sim card, took it into Vodafone shop today to get the settings etc set up.

Mentioned that there was a problem sending texts and asked could they help? Told me I needed to buy new sim card. ::)

Bought new sim card and phoned Vodafone to register it. Lovely (very patient) man called me back on house phone and talked me through settings on new phone and was very good when phone ran out of power and had to get plugged in to charger to continue. (I'm sure he felt my embarrassment through the phone - not only was the mobile not charged up, I didn't even have the hang of what button did what yet!)

I felt he really was happy to help and wanted to sort everything out for me. It turns out that the service centre number was wrong and that why texts couldn't be sent. He commented about how the store staff should really have known that and I shouldn't have been advised I needed a new sim.

So after ages going through settings, everything is sorted out and only because of this service centre chap whose name I do not know.

If more customer service peeps were as conscientious as him, the world would be a much less frustrated place!
