Getting Satellite TV when surrounded by tall trees.

Hi, I’m not a member of Digital Spy otherwise I would ask there. Hopefully some of you knowledgeable folk may be able to comment.
Some friends of mine live in a house in Weybridge, NW Surrey with very tall dense trees surrounding their garden to the south and east. I cannot see a way they could position a dish to receive Sky or Freesat without putting up a very tall and unsightly pole.
I estimate that, even from the apex of their roof, the trees obstruct the sky up to at least 35 or 40 degrees elevation.
I doubt if it is feasible to fell enough trees to make a line of sight to the satellites as many of the trees are not on their land.
What do other people with similar problems do? Not have satellite TV I suppose.
They are at the end of a long private road so the chances of cable being installed in the foreseeable future is remote.
They can pick up the Crystal Palace terrestrial transmitter to the north east so Freeview is probably available, although reception is variable around Weybridge.
What are their options?
Thanks

sky maybe able to put the dish on a pole to bypass the tree but this can cost quite a bit so you wont get free instalationReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected.
