Morning all, did my first MSer job yesterday for GAP at a burger joint, quite nerve racking TBH. Uploaded the details now we'll wait and see.
Found one on RE today at a pub for sunday roast, quick question can i take the family for sunday lunch or would I have to do this on me own?

Yeah I did my probationary job at a pub for Sunday lunch and took the boyfriend. It states you can order a childrens meal so it's absolutely fine. RE are usually a bit more relaxed about who you can take with you. Just always check the breifing notes thoroughly first, and if in doubt, get in contact with the contact at the end of the briefing notes.

    Are these audits well rewarded?
I would like to try one but I can guess they are quite intense??

Obviously can't disclose fees, but I've done a few audit type assignments and much prefer them. Some audit jobs are more heavy going than others - depends on the assignment and obviously you only do the ones you want to do.

Apologies if already discussed, but have just noticed that TNS have updated their FAQ on their website. Looks really good, even a section at the bottom for job specific FAQ's.

(shame about getting rid of the AM's though)
    Now proud Mumto3 :j

I was expecting you to give me exact figures LOL
Which of the companies can u sign up for the audits?
Being an accountant the audit side must come naturally to you yeh?
    :)
  • Ha ha, I know some jargon that comes in handy! I used to do weekly stock check audits when I was a worked as an Assistant Restaurant Manager so that also helps really.

I'm not a qualified accountant though - just working on a one year gap year contract but considering getting myself qualified at some point... might take up a few accounting modules at Uni and see what happens.

Also check the pubs themselves - there are a couple near me that I could do, but even though the brief says you can take kids, the pubs themselves have a no-children policy.

RE have surpassed themselves with the Stamp questionnaire - I know we all moan about GAP but at least their surveys are to the point and not quite as time consumming to fill in. Definately one I wont do again even if I am visiting the location when a job needs doing .....and it is less than the GAP
  • Hiya,

I totally forgot to send in my claim form for Tern last month, has anyone else sent theirs in the following month?
