A couple of weeks ago I had an RE job (OK, it was about a month ago, before the drought, thinking about it) at a tapas restaurant where the service was dire and the food bordered on OK. I filled in the report in detail, very honestly, and not one question came back on it - so they don't always question the bad reports, there is hope!

I had the same with an entertainment store, I just wrote an honest report including how the shop assistant could barely manage a hello and didn't have a clue about what I was asking her. I got paid and haven't had a query on it yet (touch wood!).

    4 Shops for me today

    1 x Bakery from France
    1 x Burger
    1 x Toy Shop
    1 x Energy People

    Anybody else got anything on?
All I have is a posh department store today where I have to buy something for at least £25.00 and I get a £10 incentive. The product will go back next week!
Other than that I have absolutely nothing booked in for the future.

    Hi
Does anyone know how edigital pay your fee? I have raised an invoice but can't see anywhere to put my bank details. I wonder if they will send me a cheque??
    Thnx
Yes. You will get a cheque in the post. Can't remember how long it takes though.

Sorry Becles, just saw your response. Must have missed it while scrolling!

If you keep all your notes for a while, it makes it easier to look back and find staff descriptions etc.

I've got loads of lever arch files on shelves here with job notes in, and I have had to go back and look things up before.
That is so organised:A Do you want to come and sort all mine out for me:D

I do keep everything but in a heap on my desk for a couple of weeks then they all get thrown into a big box:o

I did one of those recently which was also dire. I put lots of detail into the report and have not had any queries....yet. I had also done some terrible pizza reports for GAP recently and was amazed when they went through without queries.

It seems that when there is such poor service it is us mystery shoppers who suffer. I accept a job with no fee on the basis that I will enjoy it. As a result of the poor service I don't enjoy it but then I have to spend twice as long writing up my report with all the detailed comments needed on what went wrong. Then if there are queries it takes even more of my (unpaid) time:mad:

I too have just had to write up a report about poor service in a store. The staff were too busy larking around, throwing stuff at each other and yelling to notice any customers. The music was soo loud that you had to shout to be heard! I bet that one gets queried.

Anyone else finding that RE are taking a long time with reports? I have about five payments pending which should have cleared by now!

    Hi Jedi Teacher
I have noticed recently that sometimes the RE reports go through straight away and others seem to sit in my account for a week. I always think they are going to raise a query on them. I think they are taking so long due to the day that you are due to submit your report i.e. if it is a Monday they have all the weekends report to check and I have been told by them that Wednesday's is client day so they do alot of the checking on Wednesday's.
  • Anyone else find it hard to stay in a bookie shop for 15 minutes? I had 2 on saturday and the shops were empty and found it difficult to sit about and look busy for that time. I've another to do today.

I have one that's been pending more than a week. Normally they're done within a couple of days. Perhaps the proofreaders are on holidays:cool:
