  • Re the sandwiches on RE - are they limited? For the past few weeks I've done a couple each week (6 in total). However I've just chosen one for this week and all the rest disappeared immediately. Am I just limited this week or will this be permanent? I hope not because I'm about to move offices and I want to do all the branches near my new workplace!
  • Thanks for everyones kind words re my burglury today. The bug***S took small sutff and money..about £800 worth of stuff. In broad daylight too. :(
So very sorry to hear your news Princess, a really devestating experience in anyones book.
Most domestic burglaries occur during the daytime, its when most people are out at work etc. It not alwalys the stuff they take that causes the most distress, its the invasion of privacy and knowing that someone has been in your house and through your personal things that can be more disturbing. Dont refuse help from Victim Support. The Police should have asked if you wished to be referred to them.
Hopefully your house insurance will cover the loss of your valuables, and here are a few little tips for you all to deter the daytime burglar:-

Entry is usually through the rear of the premisis, they will look through the windows first so leave items on display that will give the appearance of occupation.
    1. Ironing board up with half ironed item on it.
    2. Full cup of coffee in view.
    3. Radio left on loud enough to be heard outside - (minimal use of electricity).
    4. Washing on line.
    5. Beware of the Dog stickers (even if you dont have one).

These simple things will hopefully make the potential burglar move on to his next victim and leave you alone.

Take care all - Anna x
I'm wondering why a round pizza comes in a square box -

I was able to get 3, then they disappeared. However for 2 of them I now have to phone up - is this usual? :)

Sorry to hear what happened Pinkprincess. I've had a car broken into a few times and it's such a feeling of invasion and you can't believe that people have been rifling through your things. I hope nothing sentimental was taken.

Thanks. The bug***s took 2 digital cameras, 1 camcorder, my sons DSi, and some canadian dollars i had for my hols next year. They smashed my back double glazed kitchen door with a brick, there was glass everywhere! My bedroom was ransacked but the rest of the house was relatively unscathed. They didnt take any large electrical stuff like tvs or PC's, just small stuff they could grab quick. The police and forensics were great but im not stupid and know that im unlikely to get anything back. Im insured thankfull but have an excess of £100 for the door to be fixed and another £100 excess for the contents. So gonna be out of pocket even if they pay for the stuff that was taken. :( Its the bloody inconvenience that is the worst for me.
  • I hope they don't sack you for acurately reporting these sub standard happenings like they did me. Gap don't like bad reports, it's almost as if they want you to lie so they can give there employers positive feedback.
