I'm sooo not happy Just done a burger place on gap and as soon as I accepted the receipt, I heard someone shouting 'c'mon [food that I'd ordered], quick!' followed by a member of staff coming out and starting to clean frantically.

As if that wasn't enough, after a few mins, just when I thought the nightmare was over, I get someone coming to me saying 'Excuse me, (winks at me) is everything ok with your meal?' Isn't that cheeky?

I know people have mentioned the 'small' issue of the receipt here but I hadn't noticed before. I suppose I hadn't done that many jobs before so was concentrating on getting the info rather than anything else but it's started to bother me...

I was just wondering what other people do... I've thought about just asking for the receipt as I'm leaving the place rather than at the end of the order. Would that be allowed? There isn't anything on the brief saying it isn't (as far as I can tell)... any tips anyone? Pleeeeeease!

I too am not getting as many, but what annoys me about them is that you apply weeks in advance and they don't tell you till a few days before, then don't like it if you can't do 11 car shops that weekend :rolleyes:. I would be happy to drop them for that reason but the car jobs pay well, my principles are not that strong .

They usually phone me when I'm at work and I can't really talk, however I will be asking them next time I phone why they operate in this way, don't they realise we have a life (sort of :rotfl:)

My favourites are Grassroots, decent pay and fairly straightforward questions but their site is now blocked by IT during work hours so I keep missing jobs

I also quite like RE (ducks & runs for cover ) - I like the fact you can amend dates, as you can with Gap, but better choice of shops.

Yup likewise!! It makes it so hard to line up other jobs when you don't know if you're going to get it or not and it's hard to even plan a day in case you do get it....

I hope they find a better way or at least become more prompt on advising if you've got a job or not. I still have applied for jobs from early July sitting there

I'm with you too, not great fees, but better shops and flexibility

I wouldn't ask for the receipt as you leave - it'd be like 20 mins later, they might not be able to pull up transactions from that far back...

but aren't they required by law to provide me with a receipt if I ask them? I just thought they could write one or something if they can't print it...

I usually just ask for the receipt, and then say something like "It's good when my boss reimburses me for lunch on a non-work day!"

I did have an email from Gap last week saying we can now pay with plastic so should get the receipt automatically that way so not drawing so much attention to ourselves.

Well I've just picked up 3 jobs for RE tomorrow.

It always seem to be between 7pm - 8pm when they release jobs. Do you think these are jobs that have been released by other individuals or do you reckon someone is still in the office putting them on the system?
