  • What is going on with Gap?! Surely if the client isn't happy with the timings, they can check on their computer system? I did a chicken job and noticed there were computer screens by the counter showing how long each customer was waiting for their food. Do burgers have the same? If so, the client could call this information up and would be able to tell that you were telling the truth about the timings.

I had a burger job queried from Friday, my first dine in job amusingly! They also queried the timings yet managed to describe me pefectly down to the fact I took my work ID badge off whilst I was in the queue. They obviously checked the CCTV to see who I was so would be able to get almost accurate timings from this.

I get the feeling I won't be allowed to do any more jobs there, but how anyone manages to do more than one when it's so obvious that they find out who you are is beyond me. I am tempted to go back in there during the time frames on the next wave for a laugh though :rotfl:

    :confused:Well well well

I completed a burger job for GYP yesterday, it wasn't bad but not great either, I wrote up the job exact timings etc. knowing full well they would not be happy, but doing my job as it should be. Anyway later on yesterday I receive a phone call asking if I can do a breakfast job for same company as they need someone to do it urgently, I agreed. However logging on to my account this morning I find the job has been cancelled:confused: Going onto my emails I find this:

Thank you for completing xxxxxxxxxxxx assignments for GAPbuster Worldwide.
Following best business practice, our clients require us to continually provide a broad range of shoppers to complete their evaluations; therefore, we periodically review our shopper database. This is a great way to ensure GAPbuster delivers quality results to our clients, while also delivering to you, our shopper, the opportunity to try mystery shopping for other big name brands.
As a result of this practice, we are unable to offer you any further xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx UK assignments.
Any pending assignments that you have scheduled to complete in the next 2 days should still be completed. All other scheduled assignments have been cancelled from your account. Please visit our website to check which assignments should still be completed.
We currently have a variety of assignments available in your area for other clients, so we encourage you to login and try other brands on offer.
The quality of our results is extremely important to us, so we thank you for your assistance and continued efforts in helping us achieve such quality outcomes.
    Your help is greatly appreciated.

So I would suggest if you want to continue doing burger jobs report everything as perfect every time!! I need to go on a diet anyway:rotfl:

    TPAx
It seems more than a coincidence that people have been sacked from a particular client after a less than perfect job.

I was sacked from sandwich places after one such instance. It defeats the purpose if we don't report honestly.

I can understand that my report may make me memorable to that particular branch. Why don't they just say don't go back to that branch for a few months:confused:

Although I have submitted negative pizza reports on many occasions and have not been sacked form those...yet:eek:

I had a line of staff holding the door open for me and saying "Farewell, hope you enjoyed your meal" "Hope everything was ok for you!". as I left my burger job yesterday.

The manager was there as well. They were almost bowing and curtseying. I felt like the Queen. Absolutely rediculous!

They knew it was me as soon as I reached the counter.
"So, you'll need a receipt then, wont you?"

As soon as you go in on an non MS day everything is back to normal, the place is filthy and the staff don't give a hoot about you. The food takes ages and the toilets are a disgrace.

What is the point of these assignments I wonder?

I have been asked to do an urgent burger job for Gyp with the incentive being that they will allocate me 3 future assignments for a different client in the future when the next wave happens.

Has anybody else been promised this, and if so did it all happen ok, because I'm only doing it for the other jobs as I hate the burger jobs?

I agree that this looks more than a coincidence. I was crossed off all burger jobs last week, xxisabellexx was sacked alltogether and now tesco addict points can't do any burger jobs.

We are only a very small proportion of their shoppers (I think!) so it could be that there is something else going on??

I would be wary of doing the urgent job until I saw the others actually in my account. You'll have a hard job trying to prove afterwards what was promised. Gyp allocators have a tendency to say anything to get the urgent job done:rolleyes:

They should be able to allocate jobs a month or two ahead so I don't see why they can't go into your account straight away.

Thats what I was thinking!! To be honest the fee will be taken up with petrol and I dont particularly relish a cardboard burger either, so I really don't want to do it unless I definitely get these other jobs. I have emailed them and asked them to reply urgently, but I won't hold my breath, lol.
