ISWMLE - not sure what the point of repeating everything you said last week is .... ?!?!!? The fact is you dont like RE , RE dont like you .... I am confused (but hey thats relatively easy .... !).
Hope your MSing for other companies is going well and that you manage to build better relationships with them.0 -
Hey all,
Did I miss anything last night?0 -
Hi all
I have a Gyp burger place query. In the notes it says not to do the same shop twice in a row regardless of the month, does that mean I couldn't do an eat in one month and then a drive and pick up the next, unless I go and MS a different branch in between?
Also, another query about reports getting checked. Do all MS companies check and give you feedback? I notice I am still on probation with RE even though they haven't contacted me about my report from last weekend, perhaps they have a longer turnaround for proofing reports? I haven't heard from gfk, aba-i, or gyp about any reports I have done either.0 -

Can't help with the Gyp query, but for RE you report isn't 'passed' until the payment moves from 'pending' to a payment date (a box on the left had side shows this). When that happens, you may be taken off probation automatically, or you may need to call them as sometimes it seems to get overlooked. Proof reading is taking a few days at the moment, a couple of months ago it was much quicker.
I've had no feedback yet on reports and I'm with aba (a couple of months), RE (four months) and more recently Gyp (first job last week). RE raise queries directly with you if they have them, though.Mortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0 -

This means that you can't pick up every mystery shop in a burger place, so you need to let someone else do it after you before you can do it again. I think you can only do a third of the shops in a year too.
Don't worry too much about trying to work out if someone else has done it yet if you are ineligible gyp will tell you straight away and it goes to rejected/cancelled under your jobs.0 -

I did my first job with RE eyes on a Sunday and the following afternoon I received an e-mail to say that my report had met their standards (bla bla bla) and that they had taken me off probabtion. Having read other posts on here though, it seems I was very lucky to get such a quick turnaround!
I have never had any feedback from gfk, gap or aba-i either but i'm sure you'd hear from them pretty quick if they weren't happy with your report! :rotfl:0 -

Gyp won't let you shop same branch in the same month or twice in a row...means another shopper has to do the assignment before you can go there again.

You won't hear from most companies unless there is a query with the report. If everything is reported according to the brief and report guidelines then you will hear nothing and just get your lovely payments on the due date.
Exceptions are those that like to give you school reports score ICS, Tern and Bare. Very constructive for Newbies and satisfying when you attain a consistent level.
Don't get too disheartened in early days if you get phone calls or lower scores than expected...this is all part of the learning process and will stand you in good stead for the future. No MS company wants to hound it's shoppers with phone calls and questions (they really don't have the time)...all they want to do is ascertain that the information is explained in the correct and an objective way. Negative reports are accepted despite some people's comments that only positive reports are wanted. The negative feedback is essential for clients to know about otherwise we wouldn't shop there. Some people have commented recently on here that they are hounded by constant calls and pointless questions however I feel it can only be because they are not taken on board the requirements of the job. (Please don't all shout at me at once...it's meant as a constructive comment).
P.S I do however agree with so many that some companies' questionnaires are far better constructed than others.....mentioning no company names!0 -
It took about 5 days for my status on RE to go from probationary to active; bit frustrating as there were other things very local to me I could have done that I missed, but now I'm active there's nothing worth me doing!

I've found that too just from the 3 jobs I've done for 2 different companies - one was full of 'how did it make you feel' sort of questions and just seemed to keep repeating itself, and the other was just sooo much easier to do and didn't have the 'airy fairy' type questions - much more logical methinks.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
