i'm needing some help from you guys please?
I've to do a pub for re and it says on the icons on the website alcohol purchase. On the list of drinks in list a and b there is an option for a coffee in a and tea in b. Am I able to purchase them instead of having an alcoholic drink? Also in the questionnaire it asks about what was your third drink. I thought I only had to buy 2 drinks from the list in a and b so do i have to buy another drink too? Any help would be appreciated. thanks!0 -

Yes you can buy a tea and a coffee, I often do that. You do not buy a third drink, I think there is a NA option and when they ask you to explaine you just type in "I did not have a third drink"
Hope this helpsSnootchie Bootchies!0 -
I have just shopped a store and the staff member behind the till swore a 4 letter word (quite audibly) when she dropped my change.
They also messed up my purchase till transaction so had to do it again. I was paying in cash and when they reversed the original transaction they wanted my name and address. What ever for?
I said "What do you need to know that for? I paid in cash! It's not my fault you messed it up".
"Huh!"said the staff member to the other - "just make it up then if she's not going to give it to you".
I don't think they were expecting me somehow!Who's going to get the sack at the end of the week I wonder? Plenty of people out there looking for jobs. No one is irreplacable now!

They ask for a name and address to prevent fraud. The owners can contact a customer and ask them if they really did receive cash. That's not the assistant's decision that will be shop policy.
Hope she doesn't have a child or children to support. I don't think they will have a big grin if she gets the sack.0 -
Hi folks
Have not yet had time to read ll this post but I applied for mystery shopping via an online site and have now received an email accepting me and giving me my first assignment. Looks a bit more than I expected and there is a wee voice at the back of my mind that wants to advise caution as I have never done anything like this before.
The email I received is as follows:
Dear Applicant,
I am glad to inform you that your contact details have been reviewed
by our team and will like to congratulate you as a member of our
working team.
Your first assignment has been assigned to you KINDLY ACKNOWLEDGE THE RECEIPT OF THIS E-MAIL. Once Again, Congratulations.
FIRST ASSIGNMENT:
Shopper's Guide wants you to run a survey on two prominent companies
in your area.
The 1st is a Western Union Location
The 2nd a Restaurant
There have been reports about laps in the services of their management
and some of their staffs. The complains are based on reports which the
customers forward anonymously.
The Western union location was reported for evaluation with the
following reasons:
I) Customers have reported their money missing
ii) Slow services
iii) Unbalanced transfer charges
The 2nd company was reported to be rendering:
(I) Poor services
(ii) Rudeness to customers
(iii) Excess charge
(iii) Late opening time and Closing before time.
Your Secret Evaluation would be:
1) To make a transfer of funds from a western union location in your
area to another mystery shopper.
2) You would have to record the time at which you went to the location
and how many minutes it took you to get the service.
3) You would be sent a check which would cover your payment of £100
and also for the duty you are to carry out.
4) Once you receive the check, you should cash in at your bank, and
deduct your £100.00, and use the rest of the money for the services.
5) Upon receiving the funds, the locations address may be forwarded to
you, and also the Name and address of whom the Mystery shoppers
transfer would be made to. You would have to keep a comprehensive
report on every activity you carry out.
6) You would also provide me with descriptive directions on reaching
the location.
7) Provide your name address and phone number as it should be on the
check.
On confirmation of this email a restaurant name and address plus a
western union location would be emailed to you.
Please send me a reply so that the cheque would be sent out to you ASAP
Yours Sincerely
TOM.

I will be your assigned supervisor
p.s KINDLY ACKNOWLEDGE THE RECEIPT OF THIS E-MAIL
Can anyone advise if this is likely to be genuine? So many spelling errors get me worried. Would I get to do both locations in one day so as to avoid having the travel time and costs twice?
Also currently signing on so how does something like this effect that?
Many thanks for any advice

This sounds amazingly dodgy!!!
Which company is it?0 -
Katyk this is a SCAM. Run away. No MS company would have that many spelling mistakes in their mails, or expect you to post money somewhere.
Ok now for my question. I've just done my first phone call. I'm also using Monkeys very handy spreadsheet to log all my jobs for the tax man. So would the cost of a call go down as a misc expense? And what is the going rate for a 0844 number nowadays?
Thanks muchly.0 -
