    Hi Folks,

If you're like me and try and put off doing your income tax return, then just wanted to make people aware that if you complete it by the end of Sept then the HMRC calculate the tax owed for you, whereas if you do it between Oct and Jan then you have to work out your own.

You know you want to do it sooner rather than later, don't you?!?

If you do your tax return online Josie, you have until the end of January to complete it, and they will still calculate your tax. The dates you are talking about are for the paperbased one, which is a nightmare.

Online is much easier and much more user friendly to use.

Phew! I was panicking there, as just registered for it and it says my number or whatever will take up to 7 days, and then I'm away on hols, I could see time disappearing before I knew it!

(Serves me right for listening to my Dad - who's never done it online!)

    Good morning all,

    Thought for the week

  • My amusing story of the day:

Did one of the Student Accommodation jobs for RE. Or at least I tried to...I phoned the number given and asked about accommodation as per the brief. A very helpful lady explained that she could take my details and they would contact me again when the accommodation had been built. The second part of the assignment is to go for a tour...better get my hard hat ready! :rotfl:

I am quite used to being sent to places that have closed down...but this is the first time I have been sent to somewhere that doesn't even exist yet.

I went to one th other day that is quite old apparently, but they were renovating it - it looked like a bomb site or a tornado clean up with concrete and carpet ripped up and men swarming everywhere putting doors in and the like. We actually had to jump around the corridor because the guide pointed out to me the parts that if I stood on would probably fall through!

Couldn't believe that they would allow people to view the property when it was in that state!

The scariest part was when we had to get into the elevator and parts of the inside were boarded up with cardboard!

Really....the meal for breakfast and dinner is always under the re-imbursement where I am. How odd? Guess thats what living up North gets you.

I live in London and the ones in central were always about 10p more expensive. I did some recently that were closer to me and they were only a few pence over, then last week I did one that was a 5 minute bus ride slightly away from where I live and they were within the re-imbursement!

Hiya all - just to warn you to check ahead with some jobs...Especially ones for breakfast meals. Took an assignment quite a way from home, the cash to buy the meal was £2.75 but the price in the restaurant was £2.79! had to buy something else and now G******** won't honour the assignment. Have emailed them three times now, they don't want to know! Ok it's only 4p out my pocket but it all adds up! Anyone else had this type of problem?
    Love Sassers x

Yep, that goes for me too. 4p for breakfast and lunch/dinners. Just so everyone knows, the bucket chicken takeaways for the 8pc Fam meals are £11.79. That's the only other of the choice you have to buy if you don't fancy a bargain bucket for £9.99. You then have to answer an extra question why you spend more than £10. :rotfl:
  • Can anyone help me out with a couple of things?

1 - am I the only one who saw absolutely no phone jobs on Gap after the alert today?

2 - would some kind person mind putting the Gap link for clients on for me? I can't for the life of me remember it and the location link hasn't been working for me since the new search came in.

Just change the number 441 for each client. Let me know if you need to know the client numbers that I have worked out so far.
