I'm 23 and can't see them so you may be right. Although I'm hoping not lol.

    Hmmm.... All very mysterious..
And I thought the mystery part of this mystery shopping lark was the shopping not working out the demographics of the clients!
I did see someone mention having to be over 25 for a job a couple of pages back but im not sure if they were referring to these jobs or not.

I'm also curious as to why I can't see certain jobs on RE. I've never seen any of the restaurants that have apparently been released tonight, I'm wondering if I'm not in the demographic for it though, am I right in thinking blondecaz, karamelrose and jdan are all about the same age as me?? (I'm 21) If so can any of you guys see those jobs?

Ive also never seen any phone calls or hotels either but I'm wondering whether that has anything to do with the extended profile bit thats on there which I am currently in the process of filling in to see if that makes a difference!

Oo yes I am - how did you know!? Nope can't see any restaurants either, just hundreds of pubs and pharmacies, so I guess your demographic idea could be right :)
  • Also, just deciding to give some of my opinions on MSing at the moment...

Reduced fees on RE - Not impressed at all, but if people are taking them at that fee then why would RE bother to offer a higher fee?! I'm in agreement that we should all refuse to do them but they're still disappearing so . It would be interesting to know whether the client are still paying RE the same and they are just passing on less to us or whether its the client that's lowered the fee. Hmmm

I'm also in agreement about not liking taking pics of shops, I feel so suspicious! I'm always afraid I'll get questioned or something. Just paranoia I guess though. I just dont understand why a reciept and the names of the left and right shop aren't enough to prove you've been there??

I had two shops yesterday, an entertainment store for RE and a £ shop for ESA. I had to laugh at the difference, one had almost the double the fee of the other but required a third of the time to write the report!! I hope my ESA one is ok though, its the first job I've done for them and I've applied for 5 more on the travel agent wave.

Ive also got two glasses shops for Tern tomorrow, bit nervous as the purchase requirement is such a high amount so if I mess it up it will be very bad news! Anyone got any tips for these? I'm concerned because there are still quite a few available, im thinking everyone knows something about these that I dont?!

Sorry for the essay, been mulling over my mystery shopping thoughts all week but haven't really had time to post.

    Because I'm your stalker mwhahaha!!
Lol no, I think I just saw you mention it on here a while ago. :D

Yes, all ive got at the moment is pubs and the dreaded pharmacies. Do you get to see hotels or phone calls ever?

I'll be a bit miffed if it is because we're not old enough, I think 21 is a perfectly acceptable age to be eating out in a restaurant dont you?!

Well done you, get it all out:T:T I am the same about RE, obv people will take them, I have taken one spanish resurant as I love it and its a wee night for me and mum but otherwise most of my work has been BARE & GAP.

The taking photos is a joke, I took a picture of a music/entertainment store for RE and they refused it as a part of the H was not in the frame....... I have refused to go back without a fee thanks to UKMonkeys advice so we are in limbo, I find them getting really picky. A lot of our shopping centres do not allow photography, as we all know there is quite a few shall I say weirdo's ahem out there so can understand the policy, I felt like a thief with my bag right up at my face and then looking around taking the camera out my bag quickly....suspicious????

    :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: today people!!!!
:money: giving me & my darling boys a better cheaper life :o:A
  • I was told by RE that they use the photo on the front of their report. Makes it look more professional. Once I couldn't take a photo as a lorry was parked in front of the shop. I said I'd go back the next day to take it for them, but they said don't worry, they'd use the photo from the last MS done at that store. Still paid me too.
    Happy New Year

Not disagreeing with your sentiments, however when you say "we" who do you mean?

RE claim a list of 450,000shoppers. Allowing for some exaggeration to attract custom, they have a lot of shoppers on their books. How many of them would you think read this forum?

If everyone who reads this forum stopped accepting RE jobs or boycotting jobs requiring photos, would RE even notice do you think?

As I say, I don't disagree with the sentiments that you express. However, the number of people here is a minute fraction of the shoppers on the companies books.
