New Flat

I have just got a new flat and it needs completely furnishing (except the kitchen)

Any tips for cheap but decent quality furnishings from beds to sofas to TV tables which can be delivered/pref not assembled but can do if necessary!
I have looked the the obvious IKEA but am drawing a blank on others. The flat is in Brighton so anywhere near/nationwide stores would be good...

Do have a look on ebay because tehre is often new or nearly new stuff that people don't have any use for!

If you ask nicely they are often able to deliver or it's worth hiring a van for proper bargains. We bought a corner Ikea sofa for £250 - it was four months old, £900 new - the man selling it was being turfed out of his rented property and couldn't fit it in his new place. We used it to dress a flat for sale and then sold it on ebay for £300.

We also got two brand new Ikea beds used to dress a flat for sale for £57. We did the same and then sold them separately and made a profit.

Oh, and my John Lewis kitchen was brand new, used for a photoshoot and cost me £500 - it costs that much for one unit!
