My daughter is going to study a degree with the open university. She is currently claiming all relivent benifits and is in a private rented flat with her two young children.The landlord is selling the property and she has to leave in 2 months time. This is unsettling for her and the children and as a result the family have got together and decided to buy her a small flat in
her name. Will this cause her a problem with the benifit people.
She will no longer have to claim money for rent so i can't see a problem, but i know the system is crazy so can never be sure...

We will keep the money and pay for the flat so it will never be in her account...We just want her and the children to have something they can be settled in and private rent is so temporary...Thanksbuttons0
