Leicester to Oxenholme..cheapest rail ticket please help....

I am looking for the cheapest (return or two singles) rail ticket from Leicester to Oxenholme (the Lake District)
Travelling Thursday 27th August am
Returning Sunday 30th August pm
I will have a F+F rail card
There will be 1 adult and 1 child (11)
I managed to find 2 singles for the grand total of £17-45 this afternoon on CrossCountry trains but tried to book it and it failed......:mad:
Can anyone help?

Just had a quick look on the NXEC website and the 2x Advance single total: £17.45 are still there, but their cheap for a reason , long journey or very late at night to travel. But I don't think you will get it cheaper any other way, you could try spliting at one or more of the following; Manchester Pic, Sheffield, Preston or Crewe.
