Putting together a short break in London

Hi All,
Apologies if this has all been covered before.
Am trying to put together a weekend in London in October... overnight stay and seeing Grease.
After reading all of the threads on cheap tickets I still can't find anything under £50 so am considering just going to one of the TKTS booths and taking the risk.
Can anyone advise where to start with looking for a hotel?! Because of the easiness of the Tube even the location isn't that important so doesn't narrow it down! Am not looking for anything swanky... has anyone got any recommendations? Will be doing general sightseeing as well as theatre.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

I wont be able to probably get the info accross on here, as I put in the dates into the calndar.
if you go to www.lastminute.com click in the top search box for grease, youll see there is a package of hotel for one night and theare tickets.
I selected the The Shaftesbury Metropolis London Hyde Park - 4* - London THE BRAND NEW Shaftesbury Metropolis (4 Star Guest Accommodation), is a five-minute walk from Paddington Station and a 10 minute walk from London's Hyde Park. This hotel raises the stakes in London accommodation, offering chic rooms in a quiet, pleasant and central location. Ideally situated for shopping, and with great transport connections to all parts of London, it promises a relaxing stay in this bustling city.
it seems to come in at total of 222.29 for the 2 of you, tickets & hotel stay.
Youll get qiuidco too and there may be money off voucher codes around too if you look.
Considering th tickets are so expensive, Id rather do this, at least youll know youll definately get tickets! I think this is a pretty good price, but you may be able to get it cheaper, play around on LM, sometimes london theatre prices are really cheap :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most?
