Faulty Kitchen - Fading Cabinets

About 3 years ago my mother had a local kitchen company supply and fit her kitchen. It's a gloss white one. Now 4 of the doors have changed colour and you can't miss it.

We know the manufacturer no longer makes the kitchen and has no spares as we needed a replacement door last year. The company are coming down to have a look at the kitchen and how to proceed with this matter.

Has anyone any experience like this and what should she be asking for in terms of putting it right. I can't see any other solution than new doors, pelmets etc .

Any ideas?

Thanks

Tracy

Are the 4 doors next to/near each other?

No they are not. She has her kitchen in a U shape. 1 door is on 1 side of the U. 3 are on the other side but they have 1 faded door, 3 fine doors, 1 faded, 1 fine and then 1 faded.

    Any ideas?

There are plenty of kitchen door replacement companies who could be commissioned to make a new set of doors by the company woh iriginally supplied or fitted the kitchen

Normally kitchens are guaranteed for a number of years - can you remember how long it was?

Or maybe all the doors could be 'dipped' to recoat them the same colour?

I suppose it depends on what they're made from - if it's a natural wood finish then that's not feasible, really.

Good Luck - what you need is the kitchen put back to all one colour - OK it might not be realistic to have it EXACTLY the same shade, but all the doors should match and be very very close to matching pelmets.

They should be able to supply doors of a very similar colour (white isn't always white) which should then match in with the plinths cornice and pelmet you already have in place...
