Yep, I think Im getting muddled between the two, it was some time since I heard it, found another forum talking about a similar thing, 'woodys' response sums up much better than me..

I've got self-cleaning glass on the roof (though I'm not posh), and it works brilliantly. It cost a couple of thousand more than ordinary glass, and it was a big decision whether or not to buy it, and although I don't think it is worth the extra money, it does make life a lot easier and it looks great.Self cleaning glass on conservatories works well, if it's the real McCoy. I have some posh neighbours who have it. They also have some expensive folding doors between the conservatory and their lounge which they close in winter. Seems the best solution to me.0 -
Hi all, thanks for all of your great replies, the estate agent has come back to me to say that the glass the conservatory is made of is not any special glass, although it is double glazed, so I think that it would be a complete energy sucker!
We have decided not to look any further at this property, based on this and other issues.
The inof here has been so useful though, so definately not wasted, thank you all,
