we need new bath and shower

its only a small bathroom

would anyone recommend any company which offer complete service e.g. B&Q

or should we buy everything and just get the fitter/plumber

budget is tight

How tight is the budget?

And will that include fitting it?
What sort of bath? Just a standard one? And shower?

we have £1200(took a long time to save and wasn't for this purpose but shower is leaking and bath wasn't fitted properly by previous owners and water comes through the kitichen ceiling) and yes including fitting

just standard decent bath and shower nothing fancy

just been looking on ebay has anyone used ebay where some classified adds look good

If the existing units are basically OK, leaks can be fixed. Under what circumstances does it leak? There are only three basic possibilities, leak in waste pipe (can be from loose fitting plughole), sealing around the bath or shower when it gets wet, or leaks in the inlet pipes.

Are you looking for separate bath and shower?

shower is quite old and there a small pipe next to main pipe where the water comes from water is coming from the small pipe too

someone is coming to see if we can fit new shower and reseal the bath but shower is very old so don't know how much mess it will make?

I got a complet new bath suite incl separte shower cubilce for FREE using my local freecycle website, obviously you have to be able to collect it yourself and there are trade offs as you have to take whats on offer but I didn't wait too long ,

then again I can do the fitting myself so if you still need someone in I'd go for quotes at the likes of B&Q , Homebase , Wickes etc - not all of them do fitting but if they do they should be competitive

Good afternoon: find a plumber here if you can't get one via personal recommendation/seen their work. Source the materials yourself after consulting with your plumber about what will be appropriate for your property to avoid supply errors on your part as this will add to labour costs for lost time.
