9Yr old Renault Scenic...best way to dispose

of car in Northern Ireland (will post on local forum as well)

unfortunately too young for scrappage (unless I go for a Nissan) so whats the best way to dispose of this car. I wont get anything on a trade in, needs a few bits done, still taxed to Sept this year and MOTed til Feb 2010....

1.9 diesel, still got 4 good tyres, slight problem with driver seat (1 mounting point broken, possible weld job or new bolt fixing) and the only other problem, slight weeping of oil underneath...just a few drops daily.

Bodywork as you would expect for a car this age, but engine still has loads of life in it. Twin sun roofs, electric windows, mirrors, locking ...fog lights etc.

Can I reasonably expect someone to shell out a few quid for this...or do I have to pay to have it scrapped?

all thoughts welcome...

put it on ebay with no reserve and take what you get?? I did this with an old k reg Skoda estate, got £90 for it but I didn't care, meant someone paid me so they could take it away lol!

Scenics are popular cars so I am sure it would make much more than £90!

I'm pretty sure you could get a couple of hundred quid for that at least. Proberbly more .

A scrappy would give you nowhere near that.

IMHO, the car should be usable for a while longer yet!
If it is genuinely completely past it, then there are companies that advertise free scrappage.
