Ahhh so you were stuck then? Hence going all childish with the talk of pink thongs in the reply.
I apologise chucky. But you did ask why it was rubbished.
This is nothing to do with viewpoints. It's to do with the FACT you were ramping a min ago, hence why I have used those specific facts and figures from the report to back up my points.0 -
rents are down for the last 18 months - rents have risen by a small amount in the last few of months. that's all it is. nothing else, nothing more.

LOL. Dear lord. I was just answering your original question.0

Er, the average rental for the south east and london seems OBSCENE, I simply can't believe the average renter is paying over a grand a month.
high rental return isnot only restricted to London and the South East:wall:

I've actually noticed rental prices increasing in my area. About a 10% increase from the start of the year. To be fair, prices had fallen to very very low levels, and the difference between the rubbish DSS houses (which didnt really fall), and the nice houses was so small. Ie DSS 3bed council estate terrace rental was £500pm, and the nice detached house in prime area was £600pm! These have now risen to 650-700, which is still lower than 07 (around 800pm).0

i rent out two properties, one of which has new tenants last month.
they did as if i could lower via the EA and chased them up for an answer before the EA asked me.
I was very confident I had marketed properly so declined and they said they still wanted the flat anyway but thought to try and test if would.
so all in no void and happy tenants.
I had seen similar properties in the local area drop on average £15 per month in the last year, but this is back up again.
I think some landlords were concerned by the media and prepared to drop to secure tenants and now theare more confident again, the market has re-stabalised.
note this is only for the area i market research regularly:wall:

My recent expereince of the rental market:
I have just re-rented (late July) a property in Battersea, it is the first property I have had to remarket for a while. I knew the market would be poor but as I had 6 weeks notice I tried it at the old rent first. There was NO interest at all so I dropped the rent by 10% and although I didn't get much interest (3-4 queries) I did manage to rent it without a void.
I am also trying to rent a property in Tottenham Hale, again I had 6 weeks notice so tried it with the old rent, I had 1 viewing but no offer. I have just dropped it by 10% (last weekend) and have had 5 parties who wish to view, although I dismissed 3 as being unsuitable, the other 2 seem keen and prospective good tenants.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0
