Its easy to blow the best part of £10 on sweets on a friday night so can anyone suggest any cheap sweets or nice alternatives?
Getting the reduced cakes at the back of 7pm is cheap but full of calories!

buying only whats on bogof could help or the supermarket own versions. what about buying microwave popcorn and making your own muffins and cookies, you could make a lot of muffins for a tenner and they are probably more filling than nutty. lidel has rather nice chocoalte goodies and they are reasonably cheap as well.Debt free 3 years early :j

Sainsburys have large bags of Maynards sweets half price at the min, I think we paid 65p for a large bag of wine gums (taken to the pictures) and they have 3 bags for £1 of their own brand sweets.2011 Sealed Pot Challenge #1238 hoping for £250 ~ saved £743.32

Approved Food (much talked about on here) always has junk food which is just past its best before date. All tastes fine, and you can stock up in bulk dirt cheap. Feeds all my friends when they come round.

Whoa! £10 sounds a lot to be spending on sweets in one go.
As said above, it's worth trading down from the branded stuff to the supermarkets' own products. They may not compare directly with your preferred regular brand but you soon get used to them and their taste becomes 'the norm'.
Alternatively, keep an eye on the special offers section of www.mysupermarket.co.uk every week to see what's on special offer.
Also do try cooking your own; meringe and caramel are cheap and simple to make. Many others too, I'm sure.0 -
Quality Save and Home Bargains have really good sections of cakes, sweets, buscuits - really good prices too0

my son loves a little popcorn for a snack when we watch movies, you can get 4 packs for a pound in iceland, pop it in the micro and it keeps him happy.
Also iceland do multipacks of chocolate bars, like 5 whispas £1.50 not bad when you pay around 50p each in asda/tesco.0 -
Don't do what I did yesterday. I bought 3 pcks of tesco sweets @ 3 for £2. When I checked my receipt I discovered I'd only saved 1p - Arrhhhhh they were only 67p each to start with :embarasse.0
