How should I price...

Homemade candles at bootfairs?

I am planning on making some for the bootfair i am attending and was wondering how to price them? and what sort of price people will pay?

also my OH makes stickers for a living and is going to make some England car stickers etc and was going to price these at £2 for 3 stickers. What do you think?

I have never done a bootfair before so dont know if people go there expecting to spend 10p or £10!

I see you're in Kent which will have a lot of overseas visitors, many of whom will be working for next to nothing and going to boot fairs on the lookout for bargains.
So why not branch out from just England flags (which may be common) and do some of the smaller European countries who will be at the World Cup? If OH can do small volumes it may be worthwhile.
Homemade candles will go very well at craft fairs but may be a bit upmarket for boot sales. It all depends on who turns up though :)
    Can I help?

I have bought homemade candles from boot fairs. I don’t know what yours are like but I love the ones that got a nice smell or are made from beeswax. Go a head and bring them along. I think it is a good idea

If they are presented well people are more likely to go for it. Put them in pairs or with a ribbon around them.
Since I don’t know how long or thick they are it’s hard to give advice on price.

The important thing is to get your costs right:-

    Cost of materials
Your time in making, buying materials etc @ £X/hour (don't sell your time too cheap)
    Cost of bootfair entry
    Electricity
    Other costs etc
Add all your costs together and calculate cost per candle. Then add on a decent margin.

Offer buy 2 get 1 free type deals.

Hopefully you will be within the perceived price point (which I wouldn't have a clue about).
