new upvc back door & window - how much??

hi, can you help at all?
i am wanting a new back door and window fitting in brown upvc. my existing timber ones need replacing.
the window fits/buts up to the door - i think they call it flag???

door is 82 inch x 32.5 inch, window is 48 inch x 40.5 inch roughly.

i realise quotes will vary a lot but i was wondering if you had a rough ballpark figure to give me some idea of cost before i get proper quotes. supply and fit.

also is there a specific manufacturer etc i should ask for re the upvc profiles? any helps most appreciated.

cheers
p.s im in s yorks if you can recommend anyone?

    Hi
we have recently had ours replaced. The front door was £650 with a large glass panel and the back door was £600 similar glass panel with no letter box. They were both White upvc and that was for supply and fit buy a small local company!

    Hope that helps

I think it's really going to depend on where you live. I'm in Yorkshire and paid my local building firm £750 to supply and fit a flag window and door. HTH
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

had a quote of £950 supply and fit.from a local firm. the frame profile was veka????????????
seems expensive really. i cant afford that, i thought about £600 to £750 tbh.
i need more quotes dont i.
  • Veka profile is fine, brown uPVC will always cost more, contact some local chippy's/ joiners, they might have better buying power and will install.

I have been looking to replace both front and back door in PVC, came across a seller on Ebay, who's charging £900 for both, I think that includes fitting as well, Didnt really look at all his info TBH, but he has pics of the doors he supplies, I'll see if I can find it.

Be very weary if you are paying £900 to supply and fit 2 doors.
I am in the trade and get a good price for a good quality product and i couldn't buy them for that!

To be honest, there is a few pics at the bottom of his ad of some doors, but only 1 back door on offer, unless he has more doors on offer, then I wouldnt go for any of them lol

If you put in the EBay search engine, 'UPVC back door' I think he is on the second page, there is another guy advertising as well, he does made to measure and fullu fitted £395, but read all the description, as after a certain distance he will discuss charges.
He sells under the name of 'bishycars' he has a few nice back doors there, and i expect he does front as well.

    I paid for two windows
    bathroom one top opening window
Kitchen opening top and bottom and
a blue composite front door, chrome fittings
& Door frame, inc side panel all
    fitted £1,250

It would have been a lot cheaper if
    I had a white door.

I chose a local company that make their
own windows so it was cheaper than going
to someone who has to buy them in
