Help with Cancer fundraising event PLEASE

Sorry I know this is not really the correct place for this but I thought you may all be able to help, My Lovely dad died a few weeks ago of Cancer and I am so angry about the state of cancer help that I want to hold a PINK PARTY in October to raise funds to help find cures but I need a hall to start with and hoped that any of you might know of a kind person who would donate the use of one or at least at a reduced cost, I am also looking for prizes that can be auctioned off or given out so again if any of you can help I would be so Grateful, again sorry to blog this here but I have no idea where to start, I want to help some how and this seems something I can do

my first feeling is do you have any estate community centres near you that might be happy to lend the hall for the cause?

the other thought I had is whether Croydon has a LETS, if so, someone who runs that might be able to point you in the right direction

Try your local sports club, village hall or even a pub may help you. They may even let you have a percentage of the bar takings on the night.

Sell pink marshmallows dipped in a chocolate fountain,pink lemonade, pink iced cup cakes.

How about decorating with pink fabric bunting (really easy to make up just triangles on bias binding/ribbon) and decorate.

Play the bonus ball....sell a number for £1 or £2 (or anything you wish)..the winner receives half of the money collected and cancer charity receive the rest.
Write up on a pink piece of paper or decorate a white piece with pink crepe paper/pens etc.

How many sweeties in a jar.....you could always ask a local newsagent/sweet shop to donate these...use pink sweets
