Hi,
I was looking at buying a laptop but it occured to me how I never take it outside my home so a desktop could be a better idea.
I saw http://www.ebuyer.com/product/160511 it looks a decent spec, what do people think?
Any others better around this price? 250GB harddrive would be plenty and does not have be an Acer but would like min 3GB ram and graphics card.
Thanks.

Erm...... it says "Out of stock".
But if its any help at all, I sell Acer PCs and laptops. I would never buy one for myself because I know the difference between good quality and budget parts of the same spec.
But I tried to sell quality PCs, with top quality parts and nobody wanted to know.
They're very cheap for the specification, a good deal if your looking for something to replace in 2 or 3 years time.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

It was available earlier. eBuyer still have some for sale on eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Acer-Aspire-M5201-Desktop-PC-AMD-Phenom-9650-X4-4GB-R_W0QQitemZ280352089760QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Computing_DesktopPCs?hash=item41464966a0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
I have an Acer now, not the best quality but been used daily for the last few years every day.
I am open to other suggestions.

Have decided on either the eBay Acer desktop or more likely a Dell Studio desktop http://www1.euro.dell.com/uk/en/home/Desktops/desktop-studio-mini/pd.aspx?refid=desktop-studio-mini&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1&~ck=mn (the £599 one) Please can someone compare the specs with the eBay offer and see if there is much difference which justifies the extra cost but if I bought the Acer I would still need a monitor.
