TomTom - adding new maps

Hello Folks

I have just purchased a USA map for my TomtomXL.

I bought a new memory card, as the original one is full.

However, I dont really understand how it works. I received an email telling me to connect to my TomTom Home software, and the maps will be detected and downloaded.

So do I just switch my TomTom with the new and empty memory card inserted? Or does there need to be some other software on there first?

Yes that is about it. Plug in your TomTom and let the TomTom Home application start up. Log in to your TomTom account and then select "update my device" the Software will appear in your available downloads.
