Arcam. If you can get hold of a good alpha range then go for it :)

What speakers do u have? Just one pair? how many ohms r they? Its best to find a amp that will run the speakers well.

Both units that you mentioned are very good.

The NAD has quite a bassy sound, so it'll depend what speakers you have to get the right match. I had/have a C350 which just decided to stop working after a year. I have seen a few others mentioning about the reliability of NAD's. On the whole though I was quite impressed by it.

I do like Cambridge equipment though. For entry level equipment it's great. I've still got an A5 lying around which has been excellent value. The new Azur range, from what I've read, get very good write-ups.

You really need to match the speakers to the amp. Also you mention about a TV setup, surely you'd want a surround amp instead of stereo amp.

Rotels also do some good amps for £200.

What kind of music would you be listening to? My m8 DJ's and he always had uses rotels cas there not a lazy amp.
  • Try looking for a Sonic Impact T-Amp, and read up on the reviews. You could afford to bi-amp.

I had a NAD 320BEE that I found to be excellent for the money. As per previous suggestions you need to listen to different combinations of amp/speakers etc. I settled on Quad 11L speakers and I didn't find it bassy at all. The NADS probably a warmer sound than the Cambridge, but that suits me as I don't like like the sound to be too bright. I ran my TV/DVD/CD etc through it. I eventually swapped to different hifi and TV setups in different rooms.
