I think it's brave to want to sort it out and a credit check to see where you stand is probably the best starting point. Best to know what you are dealing with

Especialy so as once engaged in the process of sorting it any decisions will be made based on my current circumstances. Besides, if there is to be court issues they'll have to take my essential outgoings i.e. rent, council tax, bills into account...

If parents study politics does that make the kids argumentative too?
