Linen finish stainless steel or granite black sink?

I'm trying to decide what type of sink to go for in my kitchen, and not sure whether to go for a black granite sink or a linen finish stainless steel one?

I was attracted to the linen mix finish, as apparantly these don't scratch as much as normal stainless steel sinks. The granite ones seem to be very expensive, and I'm not sure how well they cope with being used daily with everyday life and how well they wear.

For linen mix, are CDA and Astracast sinks ok? I know CDA appliances do not have a very good reputation but not sure if their sinks are ok. I'd be looking for a 1.0 size sink (needs to fit into a 50cm base unit - the bowl bit).

The cheapest I have seen a 1.0 black granite sink is a Carron Phoenix Cygnus for £200 from Homebase.

Any oipnions and recommendations are much appreciated thanks.

Which one did you go for? i was in a local shop the other day and someone was showing me linen steel, which was new to me. I was planning on getting normal stainless steel, but what's the advantage of linen steel?
