The £ sign on an English keyboard is shift 4 (the $ key).
If you change the language of your keyboard some of the keys may not type what is on the keyboard, e.g. $, \ @ may be on different key.
I use an Australian keyboard and whenever I want a £ sign I hold down the Alt key and on the numeric keypad type 0163 then release Alt key. Refer to your computer manual how to enable the numeric keypad on your laptop, on my Dell laptop I have to hold down an "Fn" key to enable it.0 -
I am left with a crazy gaming keyboard. All my others have failed due to knocking drinks over them. If I am forced to find a character then I will copy and paste it from somewhere else.
Please take my £££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££.

You could buy a set of stickers to put on the keys to match the selected layout, but it'll probably look rather ugly.
Are these of any use to you?0 -

My mistake, yes it is Shift+3, on a non UK keyboard it is usually shown as a #0 -
A couple of other things are different too, such as " and @. These are both interchanged on the non British keyboard.Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0
