XBox Live Wireless network Broadband (Advice pls)

Hi All

This is my first post, so feel free to move if I have put in the wrong place.

I need some advice. Bought the Xbox live for Christmas, however poblem has occurred as we have a wireless network connection.

What is the best way to connect the Xbox to the wireless network. Computer shop has advised bridging at a cost of between #50 to #80 pounds . Hubby thinks there must be a better way to do it.

All advice gratefully received.

Many thanks

Jo

  • Hi and welcome.
If you want a wireless connection from your xbox to your wireless network then bridging is your onwly solution. You will need a bridging Wireless access poitn which you will plug your xbox into and and configure it to bridge to your other wireless access point. If your original wireless access point also has 10/100 ethernet ports on it you can run an Rj45 cable from the xbox to the access point.
This is much more relaible than the bridging solution but it depends on your hardware
