I suppose the comments about me are some form of revenge for showing your baby photos to the MSG last week.
Thanks to your comments I now feel justified in sending her those you thought had been destroyed.

It's the other side of that old chestnut, "A consultant is someone who looks at your watch and tells you the time."
As a consultant, one of the first things I do is talk to the grass-roots guys (A good consultant is often a highly experienced grass-roots guy with the gift-of-the-gab and a suit). They tell me what they've been telling their management "for years"
I then tell their management more-or-less the same thing and they accept it from me.0 -
I've noticed the same effect - I've been trying to persuade my wife for years that there is benefit in saving money all to no effect until she sees programmes on the TV like Make Me Rich, repay your mortgage in 2 years and Alvin Hall. Hasn't quite been enough to change all her habits of a lifetime in fact she has said to me why can't someone come in and help us save money - me telling her is not enough and she won't read any books or this website! Martin can you come to our house and help us please!0

Hi Aston DB6! Love your post. My sentiments exactly! (I work for some so-called highly educated people who have no common sense at all!)
I too come up against a brick wall sometimes sharing ideas with others. More often, people make up their minds about not "buying" the things said to them even before considering them. This could be for a variety of reasons.......0 -
Maybe try a bit of reverse psychology. Its the same thought process that taught me any item of clothing I thought my teenage daughter would like-she instantly hated.Maybe if you had told him healthcare plans are a total waste of time for a person like him,he would have listened,0
