29th August, Thanks again Analyst

Summer through the lens: vote for the professional

THE FUN STARTS HERE: Take part in our first challenge and see if you can spot the professional.

Your task is to decide which is the professional, and to make things more difficult we’ve asked for images to be submitted directly from the memory card to prevent any retouching. Once you think you know the answer you need to vote and you’ll automatically be entered into a draw to win one of the latest high quality Digital Photo Frames from Sony.

HOW TO PLAY

The aim of the game is to judge how well camera and photographer can work with the brief, and to explore whether, with the best equipment, an amateur can deliver professional-quality shots on a daily basis.

Register to cast your vote in our pro vs. amateur shootout and you’ll automatically be entered into a draw to win one of five high-quality digital photo-frames from Sony.

Competition is weekly, over 5 weeks

Only one (1) entry per person, per email, per week. Only one prize to any individual per week. One winner will be drawn at random each Friday for the duration of the competition from entries received prior to the close of each week’s competition.

Prizes

Week 1 (Saturday 1st August 2009 – midday BST on Friday 7th August 2009): a digital photo frame from Sony

Week 2 (Saturday 8th August 2009 – midday BST on Friday 14th August 2009): a digital photo frame from Sony

Week 3 (Saturday 15th August 2009 – midday BST on Friday 21st August 2009): a digital photo frame from Sony

Week 4 (Saturday 22nd August 2009 – midday BST on Friday 28th August 2009): a digital photo frame from Sony

Week 5 (Saturday 29th August – midday BST 4th September 2009): an α380 DSLR camera from Sony, a DT18-55mm F3.5-5.6 SAM Zoom Lens Kit from Sony and a digital photo frame from Sony

I voted B as I thought A was a little obvious? But it was tricky.

This looks like like a fun competition and its totally free check out

I can't post links for some reason but check out independent dot co dot uk slash alpha

Vote for who you think is the amateur photographer out of 2 sets of photos, I think its photographer A personally! What do you think?

The promotion is called Summer through the lens and after reading the terms and conditions, it looks like they will run this for 5 weeks giving a way 4 frames and a digital SLR camera! cool, should I add a separate post for this maybe?

I love the flash site with the rotating camera, I want to win one!!!

    Hope this is usefull

Would be surprised if either of these were "proffesionals", can take shots as good or better than this and i am certainly an amateur. I guess it is all subjective....

I thought B's were far better therefore I chose that one, they will probably want you to believe the best ones are the professional, whereas it's more likely that it will be the other way round to shock. Thing is, just personal taste on which photo's people like better :)
    :) xx JoJo xx :)

:heart2: And only now I see the light...
