  • thankyou, I managed to order a box set,
although once placed in the basket the price shot up to £79.99, if this happens delete your cookies and clear history, then refresh (from your shopping basket page) and fingers crossed it should go back down to the £14.99 price

I am a HUGE Futurama fan and It's gone through at £14.99, I know it's a slim chance this will be honoured but I have never had my fingers crossed so tightly :P Good luck everyone! Thanks to original poster ;D

Which bit? It doesn't seem like there's anything untoward there to me.

if its not untoward then why dont highstreet stores hide behind the same excuse with weights and measures?

As with most online retailers they are covering themselves in case of pricing errors on the website.

Should an error be made they are saying, quite legally, that they will notify you of the error and give you the option to continue with the purchase at the higher price or cancel the order. Everything that is required of them in law, as far as I know. I'm sure someone will let me know if I'm wrong on this :)
  • :) anyways i got so caught up.. wanted to say thanks to the poster that posted this i got an e-mail and now its on order if this really goes throu WOO HOO :D

Scrap what I told you previously as I managed to clear my cookies in IE and order it at £14.99 :D

Virtually any mainstream website will nowdays have a clause about price errors, but if you look at Tesco's / Woolies and the Gamecube scenario, it doesn't always hold firm.

The big decider will be if they take the money from your account or not. If they do, then they've really got nowhere to run even though they may try to convince you otherwise.

At the end of the day these companies can put whatever they want in their T&C's, but consumer regulation etc will always overide that.
