Orchid dialler - confused

I just got an Orchid dialler. I'm having trouble understanding how it works. I received a 2 page programming guide which tells me how to program it for local/national/mobile calls. I put 1899 for everything (eg. *#**1899*4). Now, I would expect to get a tariff msg when I call mobiles as it should go through 1899 but it doesn't. So, it appears it's going straight through BT. Some Googling has found something called a CW Client, what is this?

CW Client is the software pagage to allow you to set up your Orchid dialler. Basically you set up your requirements via CW onto Orchid's server. Once you have done this you get your dialler to connect with the server to download your particular set up.

If you have any problems ring Orchid, they are very helpful.

Did you get a V2 or V4 dialler?

It's a V4 dialler. Orchid certainly seem helpful, got an email from them within 2 hours and they've set me up a CW Client account. I'm not sure if it's because I haven't worked CW Client out as I have only played with it for 5 minutes but when I try to make it call home it still doesn't seem to want to route calls properly.

Update: After playing with CWC for a while I managed to upload a new routing table, after forcing the dialler to call home the dialler *is* now routing the calls properly.
