Missing Emails

Hi.

I have a 2 laptops on wireless through a router also attached to a PC.

I use an XP laptop but all my emails are also (through BTs' server)forwarded to another email address attached to the PC so I have copies of all emails on the one machine.

Yesterday on refreshing Outlook on the laptop it registered as receiving an email. Once completed the email was not there. It showed on the main PC. I then forwarded the copy email from the PC to the laptop & again it registered received but did not appear in the inbox.
I have done a basic search on the laptop of a part of the email body but it hasnt come up.

I did have McAfee spamkiller on it but its been disabled.

Any ideas where I can find it on the C drive?

Hidden McAfee files etc?

I am not worried about this email but I have a feeling this must of happened before & dont know what I have missed...

if it is Outlook Express try here, In Outlook Express, click
Tools > Options > Maintenance > Store Folder. This will tell you where
you have OE set to store its data files.
If its Outlook do a search for .pst file

Loaded up a .pst viewer & it hasnt come up.

This has happened 4 times since. The XP Laptop recognises an email coming in but it doesnt display on Outlook.

    Any ideas welcome....

it'd be easier to have both machines set up to pull emails from the same email address but set the email client to leave messages on the server for x days. That way the emails will be picked up by both computers and then deleted from the server after a couple of days.
