Has anyone else had a phone call supposedly from Google asking if you wanted your website to be No 1 in your area? Didn't get around to how much it was but it did not seem to ring true and I could not imagine Google phoning me anyway.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

    Havn't had any phone calls from them, but recently got some redirected mail from them offering a free month's of featured advertising or something... maybe a new business advertising campaign from them?!?!

    I think this was in the paper last week.

    It's not Google, it's just companies offering search optimisation services for Google search results, using 'clever' wording.

    I think Google are probably doing ok without the need to do cold calling!

    Thats why we missed it, we don't do newspapers.
    I had guessed as much as they were quite insistant as to why I should have my site at the top when searching. What they did'nt know was that people search for a named plant and often we come first as we are the only ones who have it.
