Hi All
I want to get a TV card for my PC, we've just moved & haven't got space to have both a TV and the PC in the bedroom so I thought this might be a good idea...
I did use one years and years ago but all knowledge I had has gone out of my head. Which is the best one to get? Am I right in thinking you just open up the PC and slot the card in the back, then plug the aerial in to that? How good is the picture & how does it all work, is there anything I need to be careful of?
Help!

i have got this one from pcworld. pluged it into my pc,connected the ariel and then run the install disk. it did a scan to pick the channels up. the picture is just like watching your tv, but smaller. i have recently pluged my sky box to it which gives a better picture.
There was also a remote in with this card. to change the channel over if you need to.0 -
Thanks! - that looks interesting, and you can do teletext as well?!
This might be a stupid question but where do you need to point the remote to change the channel?0 -
You can pick up digital channels now with the correct equipment.
My m8 has just bought a USB freeview jobby, works well but takes alot of resources, thats why he bought USb so he can unplug it whenever he not using it.
Something like this:-

Lots of other on here too.

there is a sensor which comes with it, it plugs into the card. or as someone has posted, you could get a Freeveiw thing which plugs into a USB port. ive been told you need to be in a strong freeveiw area tho for them to get all the channels tho,0 -
http://mediaportal.sourceforge.net - you might want to get a card that works with this? And then have a Media Centre in the bedroomIn the United Kingdom 200,000 people are bitten by dogs every year and some people will die as a result. Of those bitten, 70% are children... So the question has to be asked....... Has the time come to ban children?0
