OPI Rentals Spain - Be Carefull

I rented a villa in spain from these people, although I was charged extra for fresh linen and cleaning I had to complain as the cleaning was done poorly and all linen was dirty & smelly.

When I requested the refund of my security deposit I was met with lots of untruths about extra cleaning needed after my families visit. It just wasn't true and the allegations were deliberately made to be embarrasing so as to avoid me taking the matter further.

To cut a long story short they stopped answering emails and refused to give me the villa owners name so I could complain to them. Pretty sharp practice and IMHO a regular way for them to bump up rental income.

On a seperate note they claim on their website to be members of the PMLAS (property mangt leasing association of spain) this is a body they set up and own, it is not impartial and I think it is naughty to suggest to holidaymakers that this is a body that gives you some sort of guarantee.

So anyone renting with them be carefull and take pictures of your accomodation before and after or your deposit could be in jeopardy.

They are huge and do not need rip people off as you say.

You're right only small companies rip people off !

Plenty of complaints about OPI Rentals on other forums on the net including money supermarket.

The point is made to alert others so they don't get overcharged
