, perhaps they should hand out rollerblades to enable you to get around it. In Luxembourg a supermarket chain there have SAs that go around on rollerblades as the stores are soooo big. Perhaps Tesco should do the same.

they do this in the big cardiff tesco,or certainly used to anyway :D
  • I like lidls for their cooked meats, their bread flour is the only one I use, they do a 70% cocoa chocolate which i use instead of that expensive cooking choc, they also do chocs similar to guylians which mr HQ actually prefers!
Funniest thing is the snob value though, its amazing how many people I meet (in the shop) who have always told me I wouldn't shop in Lidls/netto's. I was in Lidls one day and a guys phone rang, before he could answer it his wife hissed, "don't you tell them where we are", he was a bit bemused and asked why, just don't tell them we're in lidls.
The devil in me wanted him to say - Hi, we're in lidls doing some shopping!

I bet if LIDL was 24 hour, you'd get all the snobs shopping in the middle of the night to get their cut price groceries/alcohol etc.

Did anyone ever see the series of programmes, "Can you live without..." and it was mobile phone, television, car etc etc. This family had to live without their designer labels, cash etc and had to live OS for a period of time. They ended up shopping in Tescos in the middle of the night so that no one would know. At the end of the time the woman gave away all her designer clothes to charity and just bought high street makeup instead of the posh designer label stuff. They had to give up their car too I think, and drive in a standard Nissan or something, instead of a Ferrari or something. I'd love to see that re-run again. Really brought the family down to earth and made them realise what was important in life.

    Hi

I agree, Morrisons is much cheaper.

I have been spending about £90 per week at Tescos much to my disgust but the last 2 shops I have done at Morrisons have come in at £63 and £57 for nearly the same stuff. Granted I bought things that were on BOGOF but there were so many offers I didnt feel like I was buying just for special offers i.e. Things I wanted anyway were on BOGOF.

i always find that morrisons has a bread,a cheese and a butter on bogof......so if you arent brand loyal its fantastic.

Also flour. Noticed that today while I was in there. Not sure of the brand though.

Also they tend to offers on eggs as well. As they have 50% extra free on one type of eggs. So you get 9 instead of 6.

That's not fair, I could have used roller skates when I was working in stock control for Tesco in Gloucester, it was the flagship store for a while and my feet used to ache after just a four hour shift :(
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

    F U Fund currently at £250
  • Well I hope they jump up on the counters every hour on the hour and sing songs! I went to a diner in euro disney and wondered what the hell was going on when they did it. was it only me thinking 'how unhygienic' and watching to see they wiped the counter down!!!!! I thought they were bad sports to have taken the rollerskates off first!!!!
